Manipulation
Manipulation is a manual therapy technique. It is a thrust applied to a joint beyond its normal movement but within its limit of motion. It restored optimal motios, function, and reduces pain.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture stimulates the production of the body’s natural hormone endorphin by insertion of sterile, single-use needles into specific points corresponding to the meridians found throughout the body. It is particularly useful for treating many painful conditions of the neck and back, as well as muscle relaxation, and provides a general sense of well-being.
Thoracic Ring Approach
This approach allows the physiotherapist to determine the patient’s “driver” which is the key area of dysfunction that is the root of all of their other complaints. This is a comprehensive and detailed assessment of the whole body including the thoracic rings and the interaction of all of it’s structures.
Electrophysiotherapy
Electrophysiotherapy is the use of ultrasound, interferential, muscle stimulation, TENS, and electro-acupuncture. Excellent for treating acute sports injuries, pulled muscles, and sore joints.
Exercise Prescription
A program or general fitness routine for long term health and wellness, especially core stabilization.
Stretching
Stretching to correct chronically shortened, dysfunctional muscle groups which cause a wide variety of joint malalignment and movement imbalance issues including hip, back, and knee pain.
Strengthening/Stabilization
The use of appropriate levels of strength exercises with consideration of unstable, or pathological, conditions which may be interfering with proper movement or muscle activity.
